I think it's great that it's fully funded. I saw the kickstarted linked from a couple of places and thought I'd join. I've backed a number of kickstarters and am a big fan of the model. I would really, really suggest doing this as a kickstarter update. Because I found this because, having looked at it myself today I learned it had funded and I thought I'd search twitter for people talking about it. Using the kickstarter updates keeps in contact with all those people like me totally unfamiliar with your blog. I want there to be a sci fi companion - I may up my amount to make that happen, I bet I'm not the only one. And most backers won't check back as much to see if something has funded, so they can't then spread the word more. Please use the kickstarter functionality - even a well laid out kickstarter which has reached funding looks a bit dead and uncared for if it has no updates!

I hope you take this in the spirit it was intended, I just want this project to do well as it looks great.

I am so sorry for your loss. I know there isn't anything to be said that'll really soften the blow. People so often dismiss pets by saying 'They're just animals!' but those animals are our family and our friends as much as humans are. I am terribly sorry I never got to meet him.
